1. Melino at a Glance
Melino is a completely open, seamless world – no loading screens between lots. You can freely walk around, visit public spaces, use transport, meet other Parafolk, and join town activities. The entire town covers roughly 230 × 269 meters and contains 80 buildable lots spread across 18 different lot types.
Melino is divided into four distinct districts, each with its own vibe:

Melino is well‑equipped with public amenities. Here are the key places you need to know:
🏛️ Town Hall & Library
The Town Hall and Library are among Melino’s most iconic buildings, sitting together with the Museum and High School on the hilltop overlooking the entire town. They are not only the administrative and cultural heart of Melino, but also hide 15 secret passages – including fireplace entrances, wardrobe doors, and bookcase hatches. Behind the Town Hall and Library complex you’ll also find Melino’s Museum.
🏫 Schools
Melino has two schools: an Elementary School and a High School. Both are located on the hilltop and serve as key educational facilities.
🏥 Healthcare
The town has two medical facilities: a Hospital and a Pharmacy. The Pharmacy is at coordinates (122, 128) and occupies 78.6 m². Note that in the current Early Access build, service buildings like the Hospital operate as “rabbit holes” – Parafolk enter the building and their activities happen off‑screen.
🏛️ Museum
The Museum is Melino’s cultural treasure house. You can donate collectibles you find while exploring – mushrooms, gems, paintings, artefacts, and more. Donations advance the Museum’s collection progress, with 11 reward milestones – from 5 donations (reward: 250 Paradimes) up to 90 donations (reward: a miniature castle model).
🏘️ Community Center
The Community Center sits near the northwest corner of Melino, at coordinates (41, 148). It occupies 1533.2 m² and contains 346 placed items. The building is something of an oddity – it’s more like a castle ruin than a proper building. Its opening hours are 07:00–23:00, and it can host up to 5 Parafolk at once.
You can make donations by interacting with the four donation books inside the Community Center:
- Green book (Funds) – donate increasing amounts of Paradimes
- Yellow book (Art) – submit various specific artwork pieces
- Red book (Deli) – donate cooked food
- Additional donation categories await discovery
The Community Center also hides 2 secret passages. Just north of it, you’ll find the Community Center Ruins Memorial – interacting with it (“View Memorial”) completes a related goal.

Another 8 households are available as templates in the household library. Every character has a full personality profile – Attributes, Temperament, Social Style, Talents, and Lifestyle preferences. Town residents already have established careers: 70 characters hold jobs ranging from barista and shop clerk to full‑stack developer and audio engineer.
As a new resident, you can choose one of 8 starter households to begin with: Chen, Patel, Wolf, Harper, Reed, Nasser, Barnes, and others.

🛒 Shops
Melino has 5 shops:
- Susan’s General Store – located on the hillside road by the railway crossing. This family‑run store has served the town for years, stocking groceries, hardware, eco‑products, and farm supplies. It has a fresh produce section and a “coming soon” area hinting at future gameplay expansions. The store hides 1 secret passage.
- Market Antiques – sells various antiques

Melino has a Train Station – new residents actually arrive in Old Town via this station. It’s the town’s main gateway to the outside world.

Melino features 17 bus stops (labelled A to P). The bus system is a fast‑travel mechanic – your Parafolk can travel between any two stops at a cost of 3 Paradimes. Most stops have shelters and signs; smaller ones may only have a marker pole.

📰 “Something Happened in Town”
During gameplay, you may receive a notification that “Something happened in town”. This is a town‑life alert, indicating an event somewhere in Melino – it could be a scheduled event, an environmental change, or a vandalism incident. Since the event occurs outside your current lot, your Parafolk and home are not directly affected. The alert is meant to keep you engaged with the entire town’s dynamics, not just your own household.
🎨 Collabs
Melino regularly introduces collab content – currently including partnerships with Among Us, Outbound, and Kitfox Games. These collabs add new furniture, outfits, and fun details – such as your Parafolk being able to play new games on their computers.
