Household appliances and electronic devices – microwaves, dishwashers, stoves, TVs, and more – can malfunction due to overuse or age and catch fire. The fire always starts from one electronic item.

Fires trigger strong mood effects that can completely obscure a Para’s needs display or spread panic to nearby Parafolk. In extreme cases, a Para may become so terrified that they ignore all needs, become unresponsive, and even die.

4. How to Put Out a Fire

🛑 Step 1: Pause Immediately

Press Spacebar to pause the game. Fires in Paralives spread exponentially – pausing gives you time to think without the fire spreading while you issue commands.

🔥 Method 1: Extinguish Yourself (for small fires)

  1. Click on the fire and select “Extinguish Fire”.
  2. If you have a fire extinguisher at home, your Para will automatically pick it up to use it.
  3. This is relatively safe if the fire is no larger than three tiles. For small fires on microwaves, dishwashers, or stoves, extinguish immediately – firefighters take time to arrive, and the fire may grow out of control while you wait.

  1. Click on a Para and select “Use Phone…”.
